FOR THOSE THAT WONDER "HOW THE HELL CADENCE CAN BE THERE? SHE ISN'T THAT OLD" Read this [link]
Why I made this comic? Well I listened to this soundtrack, and immediately got inspired by this idea, Cadence and Chrysalis, SO DIFFERENT, possible enemies, yet they CAN become friends.
IS this story cannon in Team Awesome world? Yes it is, I changed the story of Cad and Lis A LOT. I dont want to make a little deadly spy from Chrysalis, I prefer to make her a child that had to run away from home, away from her father tyranny, with her little Changeling swarm.
I hope you like it, and maybe even made some of you shed few tears. Believe me, this is what I wanted to do, to make you cry happy tears To make YOU see that WE NEVER start as BAD, evil monsters. Children are not evil, and THEY ARE STILL children. And kids LOVE to have friends that they can play with. Chrysalis is THE BEST POSSIBLE friend for Cadence. Just IMAGINE IT!.... And I BET IT COULD BE GREAT FOR KIDS To show them that we can find friends even in those we find... strange, oddly looking. as THEY need US. WE can help them become loved, good and simply awesome So be an awesome Brony or Pegasister. Watch me, join me, do what ever you can ... it gives me strength to do MORE AND MORE such things.
YOU ARE MY POWER OF FRIENDSHIP, YOU ARE MY ELEMENTS OF HARMONY THAT GIVE ME HOPE, YOU ARE MY FAMILY THAT SUPPORT ME, YOU ARE MY LOVE THAT GAVE ME NEW WAY OF LIFE, YOU ARE THOSE THAT MAKES ME FEEL SIGNIFICANT
Not bad. In fact, very nice. Teh feels are strong here, hence the impact rating. Nicely executed with the "mom" thing at the beginning and end, as well as your note.
Cadance is well drawn and seems to be fairly consistent, but Chrysallis... eh. Don't get me wrong, I love your style and art and I certainly could not do better, but her physiology is different from a regular MLP character. With the holes, leg length and chest, it seems like she noticeably varies in such aspects throughout the strip.
Idea is original (as far as I can tell) and it seems like lots of work went into this, so kudos for that.
Excellent, this is a really unique idea that I have never seen portrayed before, the lack of words really makes the rest of the images really striking and, because they were done for this reason, they left a rather poignant feel to the comic. That ending image in particular definitely leaves an impact on the viewer. Whilst there was a few places which I think could be improved in terms of drawing (mostly with the interaction between the lighting and the characters) I really like this and it has certainly left its mark on me. So it's five stars from me for the Vision, Originality and Impact but due to those few places that I mentioned previously, it is only a 4.5 stars for the Technique.
Please blame my over-analyzing nature for this question but what does this say about Chrysalis? Cadance befriends her, after it may be perhaps said no one else would... and then betrays this friendship by locking Cadance away, stealing her love away from her, brainwashing Shining Armour, crashing their wedding, and being an all around horrible creature to to Cadance . If all she needed was food for her subjects and she could have worked with Cadance (assuming they are/were friends) to find an answer, have her talk to Celestia where changlings take pony form and help ponies that need friends or family (counting orphans).
I would give a critique but There are literally NO Words to explain how amazing this is! You did a Fantastic job on this! One of the Best comics i have ever read! Thanks for this! you are amazing!

All in all, jolly good.
